Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in
Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
is a theatre writer and actor, while her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and
acting coach. There are two older brothers, Dana Wood, a musician, and Ira
David Wood IV, who also has acted. Evan and her brothers often appeared at
Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father started the theater and serves as
its director-executive. After a lengthy audition when she was just five years
old, she old when she was able to screen-test with Kirsten Dunst. Along with
her mom and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since her
arrival, she has had successes in TV series, movies on TV, as well as feature
films. She's been in Practical Magic (1998), starred in the comedic S1m0ne
(2002) as Al Pacino's daughter, and was then in Thirteen (2003), with Holly
Hunter. Her role in the film's breakout performance in the film as Tracy in

her impressive performance in the role of Stephanie the estranged Mickey
Rourke's daughter, in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008). She is the
daughter of Ira David Wood III and Sara Wood. Younger sister to Ira David Wood
IV and Dana Wood. She is a dancer who has been trained. She loves dancing,
sing, rollblade, as well as horseback riding. She holds an black belt in
Tae-Kwon do. She is in contact with many of her Once and Again (1999 castmates:
Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
